DescriptionOn April 19, 2011, 11:27 AM PST, the Licensee submitted an e-mail notification of a canal failure at one of its projects. An approximately 40 foot long section of the canal failed due to a landslide. The landslide portion is approximately 60 feet wide x 20 feet high x 100 feet down slope.  These were visual approximations by the Licensee due to the safety requirement to stay outside of the unstable slope.  The gates at the Diversion Dam have been closed. The damage is on private property and the landowners, along with the State Water Resources Control Board and the Department of Fish and Game were notified by the Licensee.
