To whom it may concern, I am doing a report about the negative effects of damming on the world's rovers and lakes and I was wondering if you could help me out. I only have five questions and if you could answer them for me I would greatly appreciate it:

1.If there were never any dams anywhere, how do you think that the world would be different? would it be submerged in water?

2.How can we effectively dam rivers without affecting the surrounding ecosystems?

3. Is hydroelectricity as effective as other methods of power> nuclear? coal?

4.I've heard that water is needed more in the southern part of the US. IS this a result of damming and what can be done to change it?

5. what can the normal high school student do to make a difference in the way our rivers are restricted or misused?

Thank you for your time and effort, Sincerely, Brendan Ahern
