We have a rock quarry lake with an earth dam and lots of cottonwood trees. When the lake is full, there are at least 3 places that leak and water comes up 10-20 feet away from the dam and run until the level is lower. We have been told that dumping denonite dust (a side product from making cat litter) will plug the leaks but it is VERY heavy and can not be dumped near the leaks. We desperately need ideas to stop the leaks. Also would like to know if removing some of the trees would help as they really drink the water. If so, is there something that will kill the trees and not harm the fish? We really appreciate the help. Thank you.
