You may want to contact Fred Nibling at the Bureau of Reclamation's Denver Office. His e-mail and phone number can be found through the Department of Interior - USBR homepage. Mr. Nibling is a botanist but should be able to direct you to someone who has dealt with fresh-water clams. hopefully not zebra mussels
