NPDP About the NPDP Real-Time Data Gallery


The data gallery provides "real-time" charts of data submitted to the NPDP. Currently, the charts provide information on the number of Dam Incident Notifications (DIN) submitted to the NPDP and the number of dam failures. The data are presented for 2002 & 2003 by month.

DIN Submittals

 This is a bar chart that shows the number of DINs submitted each month, not the date the incident occured. The year-to-date total is also displayed.

Dam Failure

 This is a bar chart that shows the number of dam failures that occured in a calendar year. The year-to-date total is also displayed.

How Real-Time?

 The charts are updated daily. DIN data that is submitted to the NPDP is typically posted to the database within 2 days of its reciept. On occasion, data is not immediately posted, pending clarification or verification of data that was submitted. Note, there is a time lag between the date of an incident and the date it is submitted to the NPDP.
